I like this. It's like...I don't know. Like he acknowledges that he has flaws, and that he might even be a little broken...but he takes strength from where he is. The position he's in, and the cause he's fighting for are worth being a little less than whole for him.

it always makes me smile when i check your page and you have something new there. i like the use of the darks and lights you've used in this piece and how his eyes have a certain light kind of shining through them. and that beautiful use of detail in the hair adjskl PERFECT.
I bet you already know what i think... I am mesmerized...and led through a full range of emotions with the background (shadow-side), the foreground, and beyond . That curve you show (on his right side of his face)...hints at deep dimples with a full grin....Loving the life and light you have emitting from his eyes, and the gorgeous way he's asymmetrical yet balanced. He looks fascinating, complex, and like there's a hell of a lot behind that smile... The crackle texture (like vintage oil-paint) is perfection with the deep, dark, rich, moodiness that you've captured. ...and OH YEAH BABY!!!!
